This is such a kickass picture! Just everything about it reeks of awesomeness! My favourite parts are the skeletons in the water, pulling the guy down, and I freakin love the cigarette in your model’s mouth…it makes her look so badass and a little nonchalant about the fact that she’s taking the guy down…like ‘Come here bitch!’ lol Two thumbs up!

I absolutely love your model’s dress! Or at least all the blood on it! lol I also really love the demon behind her…very creepy. But I have to agree with Phoebe, the ground is a little bright, and it would have been nice if Grimmy were in the shot a little more. Awesome job!

Overall 8.5/10 I like it but I think the ground is sort of throwing it off for me, it's just to bright. I'd also like it if the grim reaper was fully in the shot and not cut off. The poem is awesome and your models look and expression are great. And one more thing..the ghosts are in their underwear o_o It would look better if they were in like Gothic clothing. Other wises well done.

I really love this picture, it has a creepy circus quality to it, but I don’t really get the connection to the poem…. Both are great on their own…they just don’t connect for me…. Good job.

But the picture looks awesome! And so does your sim. I love the expression on her face but she has like a hunched back which looks a bit weird. The poem is GREAT. I love the background. Well done.

I like this picture, you can feel her anger, and not just because of the knife. lol I disagree with Phoebe, the room looks like a hotel room, which is really cool, and adds to the story, but the room is just a little too bare. Also, because the one side of the room is so dark, and your model is dark, and your model’s victims are so light, it kind of brings the focus away from your model. Great job!

I like the idea and it's expressed well. The expression and pose of the sims are great. The only thing is that, the colours of the room are to bright. I'm not sure if it's her room and if it's not then the colours probably wouldn't be that dark but it just throws the picture off a bit. And the colours of the room don't really go..I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I hate it when things don't go well together. But apart from my need for perfectness you did a very good job. Also the poem is great!

Assignment Eight

The Seven Stages of Grief


-Stage Four: Bargaining-


In these last assignments, you will be required to turn in a picture and corresponding(meaning explaining the picture) gothic poem that represents each one of the seven stages of grief. Now, I'm not going completely along with the list of stages...I've picked and chosen the ones that I feel will work the best for this competition. Also, even though these assignments coincide, your pictures don't have too. I'd like to keep these pretty open, but one guideline is that I don't want any cutesy-pie pictures! I would prefer it if you'd stay on the serious side for these last assignments, since grief is a serious thing! Make it your goal to make people cry!

Anywho!! So, here's stage four: bargaining! Each contestant will be required to submit a photo and corresponding poem that represent bargaining. Again, this is wide open, but try to keep it serious. Have fun and be creative!


-About the Poetry-

To make it a little easier, I don't care if you write the poetry yourself, or if you use someone elses, just give credit to the original author please!

I suggest you look up gothic poetry online for inspiration and to really get the idea of what it is.

Also, here's a Gothic Poem Generator if you're having trouble....also if you want a good laugh...


-Rules-

1. Please only post ONE picture.

2. No copying!

3. Editing is allowed, but PLEASE keep it to a MINIMUM!! Really, the only editing allowed is stuff like cropping, lighting, stuff like making the pic black and white or sepia...stuff that anyone can do with a basic program. Basically, anything that changes the tone/atmosphere of the pic is ok. Also, if there's something like a bald spot that some of the CC hair has at certain angles, then you can fill it in. But that's it! As for editing that's not allowed is stuff like adding/transposing backgrounds or objects. Basically, if it's not in your game or can't be done in your game, then it shouldn't be in your picture! (CC is considered part of your game, so it's ok, duh. lol) This competition is designed to push the limits of your creativity, so use it!

4. No changing models. You must use the one you entered! You can, however, change her hair, clothes, makeup, traits, everything but her face/body(including skintone).

New!(for the seven stages of grief only) You are allowed to change your model's face to look more sad (in CAS). I know sometimes it's difficult to get a good picture when you're model looks too happy.

5. Other sims are allowed in the picture, just make sure your sim is the main focus.

6. Remember to keep it Gothic!


Breaking the rules may lead to elimination. You have been warned!
I've decided to not disqualify anyone, just eliminate them, when they have broken the rules...unless someone drops out or doesn't show, then they will just have the lowest score. With the rate that people have dropped out, it seems unfair to disqualify people.

Nice picture. Love the somber hues.Yeah,like you said it's kinda like therapy. I've cried,laughed and learned with this comp.First one I've ever entered. Always thought oh I can't do that. As I'm not in the same leagues as some I'm still learning.

Me too always learning, watching how the sims interact with each other and always thinking wow that expression would be good for this or that lol. And i love move objects best cheat code EVA! I am always blown out by how fantastic the creativity is of the people in this comp and the simming community in general, but am so glad you entered this comp and i got to see your talent.

Aww, Thanks you guys too. Prbably never would have gotten to meet ya'll. I Adore move objects. Use it a lot lately. I don't look at this game the same anymore. I'm always looking for good pictures now and scouring the forums looking at other people's pictures.Learning what I can. I'm loving this comp and I'll be joining again in the future but the second one I'll sit out and enjoy everyone's pictures.

@Bubby -- holy moly, that's an intense picture -- the kid in the water packs a dramatic punch. I would've never ever thought to do that, and the black & white makes it that much more somber. It's amazing!

@Toblie, I KNEW you would bring it again! Geez...I loooove the color tones in that pic, really somber and dark. And another very well-made 'baby-loss' shot (I know for me it was really difficult to create and write a poem for -- you pulled it off excellently)!

@Kash -- I love the cig in Arabesque's mouth too ^_^ I never seem to get a chance to use that prop, but I definitely want to again. You have no idea how much luck I had on my side in creating that shot...I'm so glad to still be in this, LOL!

I have a *tiny* idea so far for this assignment, and I'm going to try to get it finished as soon as I can so I don't have to be the last one submitting and don't have to ask for an extension. Not sure if I'll be able to get it to work though, so yet again it might be a 'great idea in the head, horrible idea for a Sims pic' sort of thing.
